Negresco I
One of a vibrant pair of limited editions celebrating sunny days on the French Riviera, ‘Negresco I’ by Michael F. Rumsby depicts a joyful view of Nice’s coast, with the iconic Hotel Negresco taking centre stage. Painted in a refreshing palette of aquas and blues, this framed embellished print on stretched canvas measures 34 x 34” and has been released as a limited edition of 95. This contemporary artwork is part of the ‘Fernweh’ collection which explores the impressions that places leave on Michael once he has left them behind, painted intuitively from memory. With its rich texture, expressive brushwork, and luminous use of colour, this piece captures the spirit of Michael’s travels and the intimacy of personal memory. Perfect as a standalone solo piece, or even better when paired with partner piece ‘Negresco II’.
