Wendy Corbett
Artist Wendy Corbett trained as a teacher. She is a self taught and works mainly in pastel. Firstly, most of her work is exclusively in colour after a period of working in graphite. However she sometimes returns to the pencil. She believes pencil is very detailed but can take several weeks to complete. Certainly you can see this in her wildlife art. As a result pastel proves to be alot quicker, giving mood and atmosphere very quickly.
Wendy exhibited her work at the gallery in Kingsbridge where she lives. Finally, she won the Monochrome section award at P.A.W.S, a national wildlife competition.
