Collection: Nick Potter

Nick paints mainly in acrylics and acrylic inks, loving their versatility and quick- drying properties, but he also employs various mixed media techniques and textures, and is known for his variety of painting styles. Nick's love of wild landscapes and seascapes fuels his desire to paint them, alongside his concerns regarding the pressures upon them in today's environmentally unfriendly world.

Nick now lives yards from the sea in Embleton on the fantastic Northumberland coast, where he is inspired to paint every single day. He paints in his garden studio listening to Audio books, and often these are often unabridged and can last up to 17 hours. He is so attuned to this way of working that he cannot paint without them, and they are as much a part of the painting process as the paint or canvas.
