Linda Charles Achievements
Linda's work history extends over a quarter century, during which she has employed her great knowledge while experimenting with innovative methods and materials to create impressive art collections.
Linda made a huge impact on the UK art scene in the early 2000s as an abstract artist. Thanks to interior design's surge in popularity, her structural elements, textures, and vibrant hues combined with gold and silver leaf propelled her into mainstream contemporary art. Her work can now be admired in galleries and private art collections around the globe.
Throughout the years, Linda explored a variety of art forms, honing her skills with textures, designs, glassware and digital media. This experimentation resulted in amazing collections that demonstrate the breadth of her artistic capabilities.
Linda has consistently pursued new opportunities in the realm of contemporary art, having held multiple shows, exhibitions, appearances, and recently being inducted into the permanent collection of the Artemizia Foundation in Arizona. She continues to break boundaries within her genre.
With her keen interest in fashion, Linda amalgamated the exquisite features of far eastern cultures such as those of the Japanese geisha and Indian bridal to create spectacular couture collections. She blended a love for tranquillity and serenity with vibrant colours and embellishments.
Recently, her latest Pulp re-imagined art collections have proven hugely popular: they bring together her admiration of the visuals featured in vintage paperbacks from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, with a selection of well-known hit songs and their accompanying singers and songwriters.
Linda is unmatched as one of the country's preeminent artists, with 25 years' worth of accomplishments. As she develops her artistry, she is intent on crafting works that trigger thoughtful and visceral reactions from viewers, mirroring her own experiences when painting.
