Kealey Farmer
As a largely self-taught artist, the decision to transition from the corporate world to a focus on art came after the arrival of her second son. Her experimentation with acrylics led to the creation of abstract swirl images on large-scale canvases, which proved to be a huge success at her first show.
Drawing on her upbringing in Derbyshire, where her childhood was filled with painting, drawing, and doodling, it was inevitable that art would play a significant role in Kealey's life. Her artistic journey continued to evolve with the development of the 'Energy Collection', inspired by dream-like images that encapsulate emotions rather than tangible surroundings. These fluid pieces, devoid of a clear beginning or end, utilize color theory to evoke various moods.
Kealey expanded her repertoire by incorporating new forms of mixed media, including hand-cut glass and Swarovski crystal embellishments. More recently, her collections have taken on a more intimate scale, featuring vibrant trees and flowers with a romantic flair, often adorned with handmade hearts.
