JJ Adams Art

JJ Adams, a digital and mixed media artist, has amassed an impressive body of work featuring recognizable people and landmarks with his own unique twist!

JJ Adams quickly earned notable recognition when featured in Vogue and GQ, becoming a highly sought after artist in the UK.

He has altered celebrity faces, renowned monuments, and fused together fine art and the cutting-edge forms of digital art and photography. He has been a dominant force in blurring the boundaries that divide these genres.

JJ, the rebellious offspring of a Baptist preacher, was moved to South Africa in the early eighties. During his adolescent years in Cape Town he had the chance to work in Derric Van Rensburg's studio and attribute this pivotal moment as when his passion for graphic art began.

Adams picked Cape College's subject to invest his energy in while working part-time as an apprentice in a bustling tattoo studio. After returning to the UK in the 1990s, JJ longed to become a tattoo artist and he has merged these two interests into the creative identity he is today.
